Upcoming Trainings
Healthy Boundaries Workshops are a required Training for the Prevention of Clergy Misconduct. Healthy Boundary training is mandatory in the United Church of Christ. The workshops listed below will equip ordained, commissioned, and licensed clergy to understand healthy boundaries in ministry relationships. Healthy and vital ministries rely on trust and mutual support to create spaces of welcome and safety for all. Leaders must understand the role of power and vulnerability to create and maintain healthy boundaries and choose healthy self-care strategies.
These workshops fulfill the requirements for such a workshop every four years for UCC clergy to retain ministerial standing.
2026 Courses
For Active Clergy
Any authorized ministers or individuals preparing for ministry are welcome to attend any of these trainings. In the Southeast Conference, Authorized Ministers are required to attend Boundary Awareness Training once every four years. This includes retired ministers who have not requested exempt status. Ministers from other Conferences are welcome to attend, but please check with your COM before registering to make sure our course will meet your requirements.All these trainings are offered on Zoom. Spaces are limited, you can register below.
For Retired or Soon To be Retired Clergy
We have scheduled two trainings for retired Clergy. This course is designed for those already retired and for those planning to retire within the next year. Retired clergy are also welcome to take the training offered by the National Setting for Retired Clergy.
The National Setting is also offering two courses later this year that are free. They are:
NOTE: We are in the process of revamping our curriculum this year and will be only offering a couple of courses. However, you can also take boundary training from any other UCC Conference or Association. Some Conferences that we know allow outside UCC Clergy to attend include:

- Friday, August 21st, 2026- In Person at Annual Meeting. Registration for this course will be part of the Annual Meeting Registration which can be found here. If you are only attending the Boundary Training and not the full Annual Meeting, please choose pre-events only as your registration and you should be able to choose the boundary training on the next screen.
The National Setting is also offering two courses later this year that are free. They are:
- Boundary Training for Retired Ministers (also recommended for ministers preparing for retirement): October 15, 2026
- Boundary Training for Ministers in Specialized Settings: November 9, 2026
