Dear Beloved Ministry Partner,
Christmas blessings to you and yours!
2022 has been an eventful year in the life of the Southeast Conference, thanks to the many ways you have supported and participated in our shared ministry. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to minister to communities such as Jackson, MS, where we have been able to respond to the ongoing water crisis by sending funds, supporting congregations engaged in relief efforts, and working with the Mississippi VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters) and our UCC Disaster Relief Ministries to address immediate and long-term needs, especially for people who are historically underserved and underrepresented.
Thanks to your generosity, we are working with 23 people in preparation for ordained ministry in local congregations, hospitals, and other care centers, counseling centers and therapeutic practices, college and university campuses, military posts, and other specialized ministry settings.
Thanks to your generosity, we are joining forces with the Southern Region of the United Church of Christ conferences to equip and empower our next generations of leaders through youth and young adult initiatives. We are collaborating around the hard work of building and revitalizing local churches, leadership development, and stewardship and generosity. We are partnering to amplify the voice of the UCC in the South and to be a Just Peace presence in a time when justice and peace are sacrificed for power and profit.
Your generosity has made all the difference in our ministry together at the Southeast Conference. And the need to care for individuals and impact communities is growing exponentially as we look toward 2023. This is why I ask you to consider a year-end gift to the Friends of the Southeast Conference Fund. There is no doubt that, together as the Southeast Conference, we have impacted lives and supported congregations and communities in 2022. We must build momentum during this next year as we expand how we proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ for all to hear and live out God’s love for all to know that they are God’s valued and beloved children.
