You are invited to join a Zoom conference call on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at 7 pm EST of past and aspiring UCC Retired Servants of Southern Conference and Southeast Conference of the United Church of Christ. Since we will not be meeting in person this October at Blowing Rock Conference Center, we are making available this Zoom conference call thru BRCC and the Planning Committee for this year. The Zoom line will be open at 6:30-7:00 pm for folks to visit with each other informally and again 30 minutes after the scheduled Gathering from 7-8 pm. The outline of our scheduled time will be a welcome and brief devotional, checking in with each other, discussion time anticipating our returning to BRCC on October 4-6, 2021 and the introduction of Dr. Randall Mishoe, our facilitator/presenter for 2021 who will give an overview of the retreat theme which will be “Spirituality and Dreams.” Through the Catawba College Clergy Network, we will be able to provide a free copy of a reference book Dreams: A Way to Listen to God by Morton Kelsey.
With this email is an invitation to consider a gift to Blowing Rock Conference Center which due to COVID pandemic has had 2/3 of its business canceled and postponed this year. The BRCC Board designated all contributions/gifts for 2020 for Operations and in 2021 to resume raising funds through the Century Club to renovate Cottages C & D which is approximately $60,000. Your gifts may be made to BRCC and mailed to P. O. Box 2350, Blowing Rock, NC 28650 or by making a donation on their website at brccenter.org.
