Join the Insurance Board for a live webcast as they discuss the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act), which requires certain employers to provide employees with paid sick leave or expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19.
Heather E. Kimmel, General Counsel for the United Church of Christ, will offer a webcast discussing this new law. The Act covers employers with fewer than 500 employees and may cover some churches that are not ordinarily covered under federal employment laws. This law goes into effect on April 1, 2020, and churches need to be prepared.
