News announcement from our congregation in Alpharetta, Georgia
After an extended time of assessment and prayerful consideration, the members of Church of the Savior have decided the church will close and cease to be a worshipping community.
We invite you to join us on Sunday, May 20, at 11 AM for a special “SERVICE OF CELEBRATION” to honor the ministry and life of Church of the Savior. We will worship together and picnic after on the grounds.
We celebrate the lives that were touched and the witness of the Gospel that Church of the Savior has been for over three decades.
The service will be led by Rev. Paul Hackett, Pastor, with Rev. Heather Fosburgh Bardole, Associate Conference Minister for the UCC Southeast Conference, assisting. Music will be provided by pianist Laura Mustari and vocalist David Bates, as well as congregational singing.
We choose to close gracefully and close strong by preserving a legacy that will be passed on to others doing God’s work, including congregations who are renewing or new church and ministry starts.
Join us as we look back with gratitude and celebration.
