Info Session: Preparing for Authorized Ministry on Wed, Feb 15

On Wednesday, February 15, the Southeast Conference, United Church of Christ will hold an ecclesiastical council for Larry Gipson, the final step in his discernment process and preparation for ordination. You and the members of your church are invited to participate. The ecclesiastical council is being hosted by Rehoboth Fellowship of Atlanta, one of our newest UCC congregations, meeting at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 1041 Moreland Drive, Atlanta, GA 30315. It will begin at 6:00 p.m.

Immediately after the ecclesiastical council, the Commission on Ministry will hold an information session about Preparing for Authorized Ministry in the Southeast Conference. There will be a brief presentation about the process of becoming a Person In Exploration, a Member In Discernment, and an Authorized Minister, including an introduction to PATHWAYS, the Southeast Conference’s on-line program of theological education. If there are members of your church who are considering going to seminary, interested in exploring ministry, discerning a call to ministry, or have questions about becoming a UCC minister, please invite them!

Please feel free to share this invitation. If you have questions, please contact Valerie Coe Lowder at COMChair@secucc.org.
