PATHWAYS is proud to announce that the honor of Faculty Member of the Year in 2016 goes to Rev. Dr. Trish Towle Greeves. Dr. Greeves, who attends the Pilgrimage UCC in Marietta, GA, has been facilitating courses with PATHWAYS and serving on the PATHWAYS Advisory Committee since spring of 2015. This fall, she’s engaging the motivated learner participants with courses in Thinking Theologically in the 21st Century, Supervised Ministry Practicum, and PATHWAYS’ new course offering–Explorer Series Course–in Biblical studies titled, What About the Bible? Reading Scripture Through the Lens of Progressive Theology.
As an ordained UCC minister since 1989, Dr. Greeves has enjoyed sixteen years of pastorate and seven years as Contextual Studies Coordinator and adjunct instructor for church life and leadership at the United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities while serving with various judicatories’ regional theological education programs. She is the author of Prophetic Faith: Preparing Your Church to Advocate Social Justice published by the Logos Productions, and has co-authored seven Kerygma Bible Study Leader’s Guides. On her passion for teaching, she states, “it is a great privilege to minister in the midst of God’s people with all their struggles and joys… it is an impossible calling unless it is spiritually grounded and practiced in love, along with healthy participation in the sacrament of holy laughter.”
