Ways You and Your Church Can Support New Church Development PDF Print E-mail

New Church Development is a strong passion of the Southeast Conference. We believe that it takes team to build healthy, vital new churches - individual people, our churches, our Conference and our national setting. Every one of us plays a vital role.

Below are ways that you can help start new churches in the SEC:

n Pray for the new church start
n Talk to people in your community about the new church to build interest and enthusiasm
n Offer secretarial skills and volunteer time
n Write letters of support to the pastor and leadership team
n Find out if your church office can help with supplying worship resources and other materials
n Donate office equipment, paper, etc
n Paying for a flyer or advertisement in a local paper, radio spots and community publications
n Visit the new church often
n  Bring youth groups or other organizations to a worship service
n Inviting the new church pastor to a gathering at your church and use your facilities

Make a DonationThe possiblities of support are endless. We apprecate anything and everything that you do to support our new churches. For more information or ideas for the support of specific new church starts, contact Rev. Cameron Trimble.

  • Empowered and impassioned, Pacific NW group is ready for National Youth Event
The Rev. Tara Barber makes a pretty strong case for bringing youth and young adults to the United Church of Christ's National Youth Event. "I know that NYE changes lives," said Barber, one of seven adult chaperones who will accompany 43 youth and young adults from the UCC's Pacific Northwest Conference to NYE 2012 at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., July 10-13.
