Ministries
The Southeast Conference of the United Church of Christ believes that the best way to strengthen and grow our churches, conference and denomination is by equipping our churches and leaders to do the work that God has called them to do. We see our role as one of empowering and equipping leaders to build and grow the Church. To that end, we have developed a number of ministries that enable both clergy and lay leaders to birth and maintain life-giving ministries within their communities.
One of the challenges for our Conference is our geographic dispersion. We understand that it is hard for church members to travel to Atlanta or other major cities for classes or seminars. Thus we are very intentional about bringing many of these ministries to you. For example, Rev. Kathy Clark, leader of our TAP program, will be happy to come to your church at your request and talk with your congregation about the TAP program, set up a TAP class and find a TAP facilitator to lead your group. If you need help with church growth and evangelism, Rev. Cameron Trimble can lead vision workshops, leadership consultations and laity training, as well as provide you with demographic information about your area.
We believe that God is Still Speaking in the Southeast Conference. We take seriously our privilege to assist you in your ministries, and we hope that you will take advantage of the programs that our Conference has to offer.
