We offer a number of leadership training opportunities within our conference. We are also always on the look out for training opportunties for our ordained and lay leadership offered outside of our network. 2008 UCC History and Polity
- Explore the history of the predecessor denominations, as well as African American experiences, of the United Church of Christ;
- Examine the covenantal polity of the United Church of Christ in terms of local congregations, associations and the national setting;
- Discover the sacramental practices of Baptism and Holy Communion and the diverse worship experiences within the United Church of Christ;
- Understand the constellation of theologies within the United Church of Christ and locate oneself within that constellation;
- Appreciate the ecumenical vision and social justice orientation of the United Church of Christ from its inception to the present;
- Investigate the realities of the emerging United Church of Christ;
- Articulate their spiritual journey and theologies in relation to the history, polity and customs of the United Church of Christ in a written paper;
