GENERAL SYNOD 28 by Rev. Tim Downs
A varied mix of people gathered once again this year for General Synod. Hosted in Tampa, Florida this bi-annual event gathered a large mix of persons ready to conduct business, worship, offer a witness to the world, and have a Family Reunion. Before the end of June, many of our SEC conference members were on their way to Florida for pre-conference meetings. By the beginning of July, the additional team of 7 delegates from the Southeast Conference and over 50 visitors joined them in the week's jammed packed festivities.
 A Young Adult Delegate | Wesley Farrell-Williams - GS28 solidified a lot of my personal beliefs. A First Time Delegate | Jennifer Spears - Wonderful. Uplifting. Spiritual. Renewing. An Experienced Attendee | Mary Ellen Myers - Grateful to be a part of the UCC.
